Solution: iPod shuffle not recognized in usb port or by itunes or ipod updater?

(Ipod and Dock connector)
.
Problem: My shuffle was working fine but suddenly my computer stopped recognizing it. I was getting the below error.
"USB Device NOT Recognized. One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message."
I tried searching on the net for answers but did not get any satisfactory answers. Finally, with a lot of attempts I was able to figure out my problem. The problem may not be the one everyone faces but am sure many of you guyz might have the same problem.
The connection between the dock connector and ipod shuffle was loose.
Resolution:
Hold the ipod shuffle and dock connector tightly till the above error goes away and you get the below message
"This device can perform faster if it is connected to a USB 2.0 port. Click here for available USB2.0 port"
Continue to hold the ipod shuffle and the dock connector in the same position for around 5-10 seconds. You can then see that you iTunes recognizes your ipod. You can load new songs and sync your ipod. However, if you move your hand or the way you are holding the ipod and the dock together, then you might again get the "USB device not recognised" error and will have to repeat the above steps again.

For the 2nd Generation Shuffle:

1. Plug Shuffle into docking station.
2. Wrap 2 rubber bands as many times as you possibly can around the Shuffle and docking station on the side that has the docking post that inserts into the Shuffle.
3. Plug USB into computer.

Solved.

Take a pin and bend the closest (outermost) metal contact toward the middle of the jack (dock plug receptor) on the ipod until you can see that it will make contact with the base of the plug.
